Engine 7
Engine 7 is based on a 1989 Pierce Arrow Chassis with a 6 man cab. The pumper carries 750 gallons of water and 40 gallons of AFFF foam. It is outfitted with a 1250 GPM Waterous pump with around the pump foam capabilities. A 24′ extension ladder, 14′ roof ladder and 10′ attic ladder are carried on the truck as well. 1500′ of 5″ LDH supply line allow us to supply ourselves from the closest hydrant or fill site, while three 1-3/4″ and one 2-1/2″ preconnect serve as our attack lines. A 300′ booster line supplements our suppresion abilities. As of June 2002, we now carry a Scott Eagle thermal imaging camera on our engine as well our rescue. Engine 7 is first due in the North Farms area for structure fires, car fires, brush fires, automatic alarms and hazardous material calls. Another of the Engines dutie’s is to back up Rescue 7 as a EMS response unit when multiple incidents occur at the same time.
